Our Mission
At Kayavida, we aim to create a new business model that reflects our beliefs and views as to how businesses can not only provide healthy all natural products but also make conscious decisions and contributions that help our community and environment.
How We Make a Difference
Conscious Quality Assurance:
As a business in this day and age, it's more important than ever to support other businesses that share our love for the planet. This is why we seek out farmers and suppliers from around the globe that are committed to sustainable organic agricultural practices. We have carefully researched and sourced each ingredient in all of our products to ensure they are of the highest quality as well as organic, vegan(with the exception of our body butter containing beeswax), non-GMO, and gluten-free.
Shipping:
Shortly after starting the business we realized the amount of shipping supplies that were going to be needed to fulfill all orders and started researching solutions that would allow us to minimize our environmental impact. We came across an amazing local company by the name of Eco-Enclose. They offer an array of packaging items from 100% recycled boxes to biodegradable cello carton sealing tape and everything in between. Their knowledge and expertise in sustainable packaging have helped us immensely in sourcing the right supplies for our needs, and seeing as they are based in central Colorado like us, we are able to reduce our carbon footprint more so by the short transport from their facility to ours.
Packaging
For our product packaging, we try to steer clear of plastics as much as possible. We've opted to use glass containers for our entire line with the exception of the massage oil. Container tops are a little tougher, we are still using plastic tops, but are trying to find an alternative. We have inquired with some companies that make hemp plastic to see if they would be willing to make these items, and are hoping to be able to convert to a sustainable top in the near future.
Charity:
We will be donating 5 percent of our profits to an environmentally focused cause. We are in the process of researching different charities and non-profits that we think will be able to utilize this the most. We plan to make it available to all as soon as a decision has been made. Feel free to email us with any suggestions that you think could be a great fit. We want you, our supporters, to be an integral part of our journey!
